Shank Stew

I had way to many turnips in my larder, and was struggling to find out good ways to use them up in bulk. Turnips have a very unique flavor, so they don’t always go together with other veggies. One thing they do go smashingly with is wild game. The interesting flavors that can come with a wild game diet go very well with the deep sweet flavor of a turnip. If you don’t have any wild game, a nice grass fed shank will work just fine as well. The trick here is keeping it simple. Savory herbs, and salt meld together with our deep earth flavors to create something beautiful.
